Faction Focus: New Asterian Vehicles

A typical Asterian army will often consist of a solid core of Marionette robots, backed up by a variety of drones and Cyphers. But, despite this reliance on remotely operated mechanical soldiers, it would be a mistake to think of an Asterian army as being either rigid or inflexible. The Asterians bring advanced armour to bear on their foes, from lightweight Sky Razors to the larger Chira transporters and Chroma force platforms, to new technology such as the sleek Assassin & Escort heavy drones, the Asterians are not short of vehicular firepower.

Asterian Assassin - 135 pts

Support for Asterian troops is often provided by large, remotely piloted drones and the Assassin drones excel in pin-point attacks against armoured targets.

Assassin by name, Assassin by nature, with the Marksman Keyword attached to its Railgun, giving it rerolls of unmodified 1's you have a greater chance of applying those devastating points of damage. Being Stealthy means hitting it back is a little harder too and even if it does take a hit, with Shield (4) and a Shield Generator to regain those lost shields, it becomes a tough target to take down.

Escort Drone - 125pts

Escort drones provide covering fire for advancing troops, able to target multiple units to maximise the area of engagement.

With its main weapons both capable of pinning the enemy, this vehicle is great at keeping the enemy at bay whilst our troops are able to get themselves (relatively) safely up the battlefield. You can also equip a heavy fission beamer, should the enemy bring lots of armoured vehicles to the fight.

Narsa Support Drone - 110pts

The Narsa Support Drone can use its scanners and relays to improve the targeting solutions and reaction times of other Asterian vehicles.

The Narsa is kitted out with everything you could wish for in a command vehicle. extra command dice, shield with generator, very inspiring and a fantastic command order. Rapid recharge allows friendly units within 12" to use their shield generator as if it were the end phase, this is very useful if you are under heavy fire and need that little boost to keep your vehicles in the game. Having a Communications Disruptor also means it's capable of shutting down any enemy orders too.
