Thank Thonaar it’s Friday!
The Friday Feature will bring you a plethora of great entertaining content every Friday, including new release articles, work from staff and content creators, store visits and lots more!
This Friday feature, Nick and I needed some Halfling Vs Riftforged Orc action shots for photography and what better why to do that than play a game of Kings Of War and leave a camera rolling for you guys to mock our attempts at learning two new armies, neither of us had played with before!
The Armies
We snuck into the studio and grabbed all the shiny beautifully painted studio models that we use for the website and on the boxes, so our lists were basically what we had to hand. As we had never played with these armies we also chose to keep it simple and didn’t take any extra spells or artefacts.
We had access to the models from the A Storm In The Shires two player starter set plus some nice extras to round off the armies at about 1,150 points (due to a mix up i took an extra unit of Juggers but without spoilers, it didn’t effect the outcome…)

Battle Report
This was a really fun game, we had always planned on it being a very casual not too competitive game and I think that served us both well in learning how these two great armies play.
I definitely want to start a Halfling army in the near future and will be taking lots of volley guns (and some new dice!). The Harvester is a real threat as are the Forest Troll Gunners, so I’d be keen to fit those into a list too.
Nick had a Blast with the Stormforged Shrine and I can see that being a regular in most Riftforged lists, some of those abilities are amazing!
We hope to bring you lots more exciting battle reports in the future, where we’ll get multiple camera angles and some over the top exciting commentary!
But till then we hope you enjoyed this as much as we did playing it!
Check back every Friday for more exciting content!
