Halo: Flashpoint – Timeline Update

23rd Sep 2024

Dan Mapleston

Welcome back everyone,

In Andy and Ronnie’s video update last week, they covered general updates across a whole range of our game systems. If you missed it, you can watch it below:

But we know there’s one in particular that you’re itching to hear more about…so this week we’re zooming in on Halo: Flashpoint!

Halo: Flashpoint Launches This November

The retail launch window for Halo: Flashpoint has kept narrowing in as the year has progressed. From Fall/Autumn (traditionally September-December), we switched to Q4 (October-December), and now we’re finally able to focus that in tighter again – because this weekend we received confirmation that containers are now loaded at the factory.

What the first few pallets going onto a lorry may lack in visual spectacle, they make up for by firing the starting gun (or should that be Needler!) on these games making their journey to players and stores all over the world – and that’s hugely exciting news.

So – with containers loaded and the most up-to-date boat schedules confirmed, our most accurate estimate right now is that Halo: Flashpoint will be with retailers (and anyone with a direct pre-order*) this November.

(*Yes, this includes that FREE Master Chief mini that many of you managed to snag!)

The exact week that copies hit each market may vary according to your local distribution hub, and once the vessels leave port we’ll post another update to let you know the latest timeline.

Website To Re-Open For New Players & New Releases

In October we’ll be re-opening the Halo: Flashpoint pre-order site, where everything is currently sold out…for now…

Re-opening the site is super-important for TWO reasons:

ONE: More Players Jumping On All The Time

The Mantic warehouse has already pre-sold its full allocation, and the same is starting to happen now with some retailers and distributors – even ahead of launch. If you want a launch copy and you haven’t reserved one yet, we (very strongly) suggest speaking to your FLGS right now!

Funnily enough, our team had a pretty big hunch that Halo: Flashpoint would be big, and manufactured more copies than any print run – of anything – we have EVER made before, and the interest keeps on coming! This is a fantastic indicator for the game’s popularity and future competitive scene, so we’re about to step things up another gear.

Even before launch arrives, we will be booking the next print run. Anyone who missed out on a launch copy can reserve a Starter Set on that delivery, and we will make as many as we need (and more), so that nobody has to miss out.

TWO: Looking To The Future

For everyone that’s already on board and was quick enough to secure a launch Starter Set (well done!), you’ll be pleased to hear we will soon reveal what’s coming post-launch in January-March of 2025 and will add everything to the site at the same time. Keep your eyes peeled, because we can’t wait to show you what’s on the way…

And if you’re just discovering the game for the first time, you’ll be able to jump in knowing that there’s plenty of cool releases available to keep your games fresh and exciting!

Anything Else?

Oh yes!

At the end of this week the Mantic warehouse will be receiving demo versions of the game for our retail store partners who bought into some of our Halo: Flashpoint stock bundles, and we’ll be sending those out to them as soon as possible. So if your FLGS jumped on board, you’ll be able to enjoy your first game with them in-store before the stock delivery day.

Our demo team of Mantic Pathfinders will soon be preparing to get out into the community to demo the game as well, so if you know a Pathfinder at your local club or store then listen out for any demo events they’re running near you.

There will also be game demos at Essen Spiel, the London Grand Tournament, and the upcoming Mantic Open Day (more on that soon).

As we approach launch, you’ll also see the game popping up with some well-known faces from around the miniature wargaming hobby – helping to build awareness and vibrant communities right from the beginning of the game’s life. Some of them have even been known to pick up a paintbrush!

Finally, we’ll have more video previews landing soon from our very own video man Andy, and a special look behind-the-scenes here at Mantic HQ. As you can probably tell already, we’re incredibly passionate about bringing the Halo skirmishes of your gaming dreams to the tabletop, and really look forward to introducing you to some of our team and how the game went from concept to reality.

And by the time you’ve enjoyed all of the upcoming content it’ll finally be time to pull on your own suit of MJOLNIR Mk VII armour, pick up that VK78 Commando rifle, and charge forward with your team into the arena!
