How To Join the ‘Edge of Sanity’ Global Campaign

It is a period of great uncertainty.

The NAMELESS, an ascendant military power, aquaform swathes of new territory in the outer regions of the GCPS.

Elsewhere, whole planets disappear from the star map following a mysterious incident at MAZON LABS, known for taking great risks in the name of profit.

And even on outer-sphere worlds such as TERSIA PRIME, revolution stirs once again with attacks on corporate hubs.

The galaxy is primed to explode into a new era of war, and all it will take is for one lone mercenary to light the fuse...

We know what it's like. Sometimes in our busy lives you need a totally irresistible reason to rally your gaming friends together - something like a global campaign, or a new story set right on the bleeding edge of the universe's advancing narrative...

So we thought: WHY NOT BOTH?

Whether you play Firefight or Deadzone, it's time to get your minis back on the table where they belong, and all go on a brand new gaming journey together!

NARRATIVE

Ah yes, what's a tabletop game without a story? Still fun, but we think the universe is what really elevates things to the next level!

And we're designing our setting for the next few weeks so your battles can tell lots of fantastic stories within it.

We'll be telling the overarching story in pieces across video/audio/documents/images and more...

As the weeks go on, we'll be revealing more of these story fragments, secrets and surprises on the campaign page - so keep checking back to the site each week to see what's happening on Tersia Prime right now.

And go on: give your commander and strike force/strike team a name this time, and imagine why they're in this area of space (before things REALLY kick off)! They're about to get drawn into some momentous events as things ramp up...or maybe they were already on the planet in secret...

TERSIA PRIME

Speaking of planets: Tersia Prime is the setting for our campaign, although events in nearby space may also take their toll on this world over the next few weeks...

We want you to feel like your games are actually set on this world - so you'll find a very nifty planetary map (shown below) on the campaign website. You can spin it around, zoom in and out, and you'll find this week's places of interest: click on these, and we'll give you suggested battlefield conditions to add extra spice in your games!

NOTE: Our global campaigns are all about playing lots of narrative games and having fun with your friends, so if you want to tinker with these special conditions to suit your available boards and terrain - then go for it!

RECORDING RESULTS

Maybe you've even played some games today or this evening (like our weekly Deadzone nights right here at Mantic HQ)!

Just Getting Started With Firefight?

There's never been a better time, other than maybe yesterday!

If you're looking for somewhere to start you can't do better than the very latest 2-player set, containing some of our latest sci-fi minis, and (*spoiler alert*) the factions within might just tie into where events are heading...

Final Words

The next few weeks are going to be great fun, and this campaign is our big finale to the 2024 Summer of Sci-Fi. With new factions, new miniatures and more revealed over the last few months it's been a joy to give the Warpath Universe lots of extra room to really breathe and grow in the community!
