How to take part in the Kings of War Global Campaign

The Kings of War Global Campaign is fast approaching, so we thought it was a good idea to have a quick update about how you can get involved with the event… and help shape the narrative of Pannithor.

First up, it’s probably a good idea to know the official dates. The campaign will begin on August 27^th and end on August 30^th. We decided to host it over a weekend so we could maintain the interest of players and, hopefully, make it easier for you to meet up with friends and get some games in.

Secondly, let’s talk about the website. You need to make sure https://www.kow-campaign.manticgames.com/campaign/fight-for-the-rift/ is bookmarked in your browsers because this is when you’ll be keeping track of all the battles and uploading your results. The campaign data section isn’t live yet but you can read up on the background of Halpi’s Rift.

We kicked off the build-up last night with the action-packed Clash of the Clueless. Ronnie was out for revenge against Rob’s goblins following his embarrassing defeat during the Battle of Ravenswood last year. But who would come out on top in this new fight? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.

So, how do YOU get involved?

COME AND PLAY AT MANTIC HQ

On Friday and Saturday we’ll have Kings of War tables set up for you to fight it out. We’ve got all the terrain and boards you need to play your campaign games. Friday we’re open until 10pm(!) and Saturday we’re open from 10am until 6pm… plenty of time to crush your foes and listen to their cries of anguish. Make sure you email [email protected] if you’re planning to come along and we can get you a table set up.

If you’ve never played Kings of War before, we have a demo table set up so Elvis can teach you how to play… you can even upload the results of your demo games to the campaign site. If you’re playing here we can upload the results for you to the campaign site.

PLAY AT HOME

The beauty of the global campaign is that you can easily play at home. Just call up your pals, get some snacks in and start playing. There’s no restriction on the amount of points required for a battle, so even if you’re just starting your Kings of War journey, you can still get involved.

If you’ve been playing some Kings of War this week, make a note of the results and you can upload them while the campaign is live this weekend. You’ll need to jot down the plane of existence, the factions, how many points, the scenario and, most importantly, the outcome of the battle!

If you can’t meet up in person, why not play using Universal Battle? Of course, it’s not quite the same when you can’t see the fear in the eyes of your opponent, but at least you’ll still be able to influence the outcome.
