Welcome to Mantic Monday!
Every Monday we will bring you exclusive video content, behind the scenes peaks at the day to day of Mantic HQ, all your hobby and gaming tips, plus an array of exciting and engaging content from all the Mantic game systems and universes.
This week we spoke to Winged Hussar to see what is coming up for the rest of the year regarding Novels set in the Mantic universes!
Faith Aligned And Hero Falling
The fragile alliance between Basilea and the Order of the Brothermark is holding together, but increasingly under strain. With the Order of the Brothermark suffering both the demons of the Abyss and from the influence of their former comrades from the fractured Brotherhood, the Basilean Duma knows that it is time to act.
"Faith Aligned and Hero Falling are being double released and will be direct sequels to Steps to Deliverance. They can be read interchangeably, so there's no order on which comes first or second - and they both have a nice tied ending that links all the characters back together."
Faith Aligned and Hero Falling are due out in September and November respectively.
The Final Rush
"Set in Mantic Games’ Warpath universe and based on its sports tabletop game Dreadball. Having won the Third Sphere DreadBall tournament by the proverbial skin of their teeth, Leeland Roth and his intrepid Corporate team, the Vitala Vipers, head to the “big leagues” for the chance to play in the elite FSIDL (First Sphere Intergalactic DreadBall League). It’s both an honor and a homecoming for Coach Roth, since he left six years prior, vowing never to return after the tragic death of his brother Victor.
But all is not forgotten. There are many within the DreadBall community who not only revere the Roth brothers, but also despise them. Their enemies will stop at nothing—not even murder—to end the Roth name and legacy once and for all. Leeland must now coach his team to respectability while trying to maintain his and Victor’s good name.
It’s a mad dash for survival, both on and off the DreadBall pitch. Can Leeland keep it together? Will the pressures of his personal life overshadow his responsibilities on the pitch? Could this possibly be Leeland Roth’s final Rush?"
The Final Rush is due out October
Ascent of the Goblin King
Our very own king of the goblins, Rob Burman, has taken up the mighty pen and scribed a great tale [Ed’s note – well, at least that’s what he told me to write]
Grogger Split-tooth is a goblin with ambition. Big ambitions! After a mysterious vision shows that Grogger could become the king of all goblins, he sets out on a perilous quest to become the supreme ruler of all Pannithor’s greenskins. There’s just one problem: no one else believes in him.
First though he needs to rescue a goblin wizard that’s being held captive by a group of salamander corsairs. These man-sized, lizard-like creatures aren’t going to give up the wizard without a fight, which means Grogger’s going to need all the help he can get. Unfortunately for him, he’s joined by a goblin with a love for high explosives, a troll that wants to kill him and a beast handler who is ready to stab him in the back; Grogger’s journey to becoming king isn’t going to be an easy one.
Ascent of the Goblin King is due out in December.
