Rob is off back to uni…

Rob Burman
Ronnie here with some important, but sad news. Our goblin-loving community manager Rob is leaving today. After six years at Mantic, Rob has decided it's time to head back to university. He tells me it's to be a communications manager at the University of Nottingham, but I'm sure it's to enrol in the beginner's Kings of War course.
Since joining Mantic Rob has worn a number of hats, including managing our crowd funding, hosting events, writing blogs, presenting videos, editing rulebooks, liaising with the rules committees, sorting out the website, handling our social media, dipping into customer services, working with our licensing partners, launching online campaigns for Kings of War and Deadzone, organising tournaments, and some other things that I've probably forgotten. Oh, and in between all that he somehow managed to create a game (OverDrive) and has written a book for Winged Hussar that should be released later this year. You'll never guess what it's about...
Of course, the main role for Rob was to be Crazy Bobby's handler and booking agent. We're looking at recruiting a pest exterminator to move Crazy Bobby out of the building once Rob leaves. We often hear him snuffling around in the roof space above the offices and it frightens the accounts department.
Rob will be sadly missed (at least by me because I used to borrow his dwarfs to complete my Kings of War army) but he reckons he'll continue to get his goblins out at tournaments, which I'm hoping isn't a euphemism for something that could get him arrested.
Anyway, I hope you'll join me in wishing Rob all the best in his future endeavours... apart from at tournaments, where I hope he continues to receive the wooden spoon, as seen during his recent Northern Kings appearance.
However, the good news is that with Rob gone, I'll be able to spill the beans whenever I like - mwahahahahahaha. Stay tuned for some very exciting Kings of War news coming soon.
